Privacy Policy

Short version: Marka has no accounts and no servers. Your images and annotations never leave your device. Marka collects no analytics and contains no third-party SDKs. The only network connection the app can make is to Apple, to verify a purchase you made yourself.

What Marka does with your images

Everything happens on your device. Images you paste, open or pick, and every annotation you draw on them, are processed locally and are never uploaded anywhere. Marka has no backend service to upload them to.

What we collect

Nothing. No account, no email address, no device identifier, no usage analytics, no crash reporting service, no advertising or tracking framework. Marka links against no third-party SDK of any kind.

Text and face detection

The “find sensitive information” feature scans the current image for things like phone numbers, email addresses, card-like number sequences and faces, so it can offer to cover them. This scan runs entirely on your device using Apple’s built-in Vision framework. Nothing about the image, and nothing that is found in it, is sent anywhere. Results are suggestions only — you decide what actually gets covered.

Permissions

Photo library (add only, iPhone and iPad): used only when you ask Marka to save an annotated image back to your library. Marka does not request read access to your library; picking an image goes through Apple’s own picker, which hands Marka only the image you selected.
Files you choose (Mac): Marka can open and export image files that you explicitly select. It has no access to anything else on disk.
Network (Mac): used solely by Apple’s StoreKit to validate an in-app purchase. Marka itself makes no network requests.

Purchases

Marka Pro is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple. We never see or store your payment details. Apple tells the app whether the purchase exists; that is all.

Children

Marka is not directed at children and collects no personal data from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
