1. What data SleepMind stores

SleepMind is a personal sleep and dream journal. When you use it, the app stores:

• Sleep sessions you record — times, duration, and a 1–5 quality rating
• Dream entries — the dream type, emotion tags, and any notes you write
• Factors you tag as affecting your sleep (noise, stress, screen time, and so on)
• Your sleep plans and reminder settings
• Your app preferences — selected theme and language

This is always written first to a private database inside the app's own storage area on your device, protected by the operating system's app sandbox. The app is fully usable this way, with no account and no network connection.

2. Using SleepMind without an account

If you never sign in, nothing above leaves your device. There is no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, and no crash-reporting SDK in the app, and it makes no network requests in the course of normal use. The developer has no ability to see, retrieve, or restore your entries.

3. If you choose to sign in

Signing in is optional and is never required to use any feature. It exists so your entries can be backed up and synced between your own devices. When you create an account we process:

• Your email address — used to identify your account, to sign you in, and to send password-reset codes. It is not used for marketing.
• Your entries — the sleep sessions, dream notes, tags, plans and preferences listed in section 1, stored against your account so your other devices can receive them.

Your password is never stored by us in a readable form; authentication is handled by our infrastructure provider, which stores only a salted hash.

This data is stored on servers operated on our behalf by Supabase, which acts as our data processor. Access is restricted at the database level so that an account can read and write only its own rows. Data is transmitted over TLS.

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use your dream notes to train any model.

4. Dream readings

The dream reading feature runs entirely on your device, using a fixed set of rules applied to the entries you have made. Your dream notes are not sent to any third party for analysis, and are not used to train any model. Readings are offered for personal reflection and journaling. They are not medical, psychological, or diagnostic advice. If you have concerns about your sleep or mental health, please speak to a qualified professional.

5. Notifications

If you enable bedtime or wake-up reminders, SleepMind asks the operating system for permission to show local notifications. These are scheduled on your device. No push server is involved and no data leaves your phone. You can revoke the permission at any time in your device's Settings.

6. Sharing and export

SleepMind can export your records as a JSON or CSV file, and can generate a summary image to share. These actions only happen when you explicitly ask for them, and the file is handed to the system share sheet for you to send wherever you choose. Once you share a file, its handling is governed by whichever app or service you sent it to.

7. Retention

Entries stay in your account until you delete them or delete your account. Deleting an entry in the app marks it deleted immediately and removes it from your other devices on their next sync. Deleting your account removes your entries from our database.

8. Children

SleepMind is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us at the address below and we will delete it.

9. Deleting your data

Two separate controls, both inside the app:

• Delete all data — open the Me tab and choose Delete all data. This erases every record the app holds.
• Delete account — open the Me tab, choose Account & sync, then Delete account. This permanently deletes your account and every entry stored against it. It cannot be undone, and it does not require you to email anyone.

Deleting the app from your device also removes its local database. If you never signed in, that alone leaves no copy anywhere else.

10. Your rights

You can access and export your entries at any time from the Me tab, correct them by editing them in the app, and delete them or your whole account as described above. For any other request, contact us at the address below.

11. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
