Marka — screenshot annotation
Questions, bugs or feedback: dosmallnw@gmail.com. We usually reply within two business days.
Mac: take a screenshot to the clipboard, then paste it into Marka. You can also open an image file from the File menu.
iPhone and iPad: pick the screenshot from your photo library.
Mac: copy the finished image to the clipboard, or export it as a file. iPhone and iPad: save it back to your photo library, or use the share sheet.
Can I edit a piece of text after placing it?
Yes. With the text tool active, tap or click the text you already placed to keep editing
it; press and drag it to move it. On Mac you can also switch to the select tool and
double-click the text.
Does “find sensitive information” catch everything?
No, and it is not meant to. It lists candidates it found — phone numbers, email
addresses, card-like numbers, faces — and you choose which ones to cover. Automatic
detection can miss things, so always look over an image yourself before sharing it.
Do my images get uploaded anywhere?
No. Marka has no servers and no accounts. See the Privacy Policy.
I bought Pro, but a new device shows it as locked.
Tap Restore Purchases — in Settings on Mac, on the Pro screen on iPhone and iPad —
while signed in with the same Apple Account you bought it with. Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.
Where did my image go after I quit?
Marka is a scratch pad, not a library: it holds the image you are working on, and does
not keep a copy after you close it. Export or save what you want to keep.
